note

She left a note on the fridge

“I’ll come back tomorrow”

Then tomorrow came
But not her

I kept on waiting

Two years

And every single day
The moment I open my eyes
My thought was

Maybe today is the day

Until I got tired of waiting
I stopped holding on to her promises
That are already broken

And surely as time pass by

I forgot about the note

Until one day
It fell off the fridge
Like a hand waiving from a train

Then it hits me
Maybe what she really mean was
“Keep on living”

And somehow I did
